The IR220 and IR221 boards are supplied by Philips and are designed specifically for Microsoft Media Center.

The IR220 works with MCE2005 and Vista

The IR221 is the newer board and only works with Vista

Both board DO NOT require any software or drivers to be installed, they will automatically be picked up by the OS and the appropriate driver installed.
